If you are a resident in this area, please join us to help shape the plans for the future of housing, shops, community and open spaces and see how the plans will affect you.

Join us for the drop-in resident event at the Alton Arts Hub in Portswood Place on Tuesday 25th February anytime between 3-7pm.

The Alton Renewal Plan (ARP) launched in summer 2024 and sets out how we would like to invest in the estate, working together to help this part of Wandsworth thrive.

Come and find out about the work we are doing in your neighbourhood.

Meet council teams and designers working on projects such as new homes, play areas, improved lighting, arts projects, community safey and more...

Come to the Family Hub at 166 Roehampton Lane on Saturday 1st March, between 11am and 1pm.

We will also have food from Chantelle's Community Kitchen and activities for everyone.

Celebrate International Women's Day

You are invited to join the SW15 Women's Network, Sanctuary for Sisterhood and the Alton Renewal Team in celebrating International Women's Day 2025. 

The celebration event takes place on Wednesday 5th March 2025 from 11am - 1pm at Alton Activity Centre, Ellisfield Drive SW15 4EZ

Free activities include a fashion show, suncatcher making, henna hand tattoos and candle making. There will also be a prize raffle and international food.

DONS FIT - WOMEN-ONLY

The Alton Regeneration team is excited to share the new times and dates for the free female fitness programme run by AFC Wimbledon Foundation.

Sessions take place on:

Mondays (from Monday 2nd September 2024) in the Roehampton Sport and Fitness Centre, Laverstoke Gardens SW15 4JB at the new time of 11am-12pm. 

Tuesdays, from 11am-12pm in the Davies Sports Hall at the University of Roehampton, Laurence Court Froebel Court SW15 5PJ (from Tuesday 3rd September 2024).

In addition to the regular fitness classes, the Dons Fit for Women sessions will feature a variety of workshops and events, including yoga and selfcare workshops, as well as a female-centered self-defence class. This term, AFC Wimbledon Foundation is also offering Dons Fit participants free match day tickets to the AFC Wimbledon Women’s team games, with the chance to be hosted in a VIP box at Plough Lane Stadium!

Chantelle's Community Kitchen

As featured on BBC London News, Chantelle's Community Kitchen offers pre-packed nutritious homemade meals every Tuesday between 11am and 1pm.

Come along to Portswood Space (4 Portswood Place SW15 4ED) for a free homemade meal to eat in or takeaway. Donations will be much appreciated if you feel able.

Chantelle’s Community Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers, with or without cooking experience. There are a variety of roles to fill in the friendly kitchen on Mondays and Tuesdays.
